I met up with Hannah and Gabe for their engagement session at Hannah’s parents' lake house in Keystone Heights. I can’t believe that I had never been to Keystone Heights before… it is such a beautiful place to shoot and I already can’t wait to return!
Hannah’s parents have the most beautiful home on Crystal Lake and their sprawling backyard was the perfect spot to take some photos with their adorable pup! After the family photos were complete we moved to the water. Hannah and Gabe got engaged on a jet ski so of course we had to get some fun photos with it! We ended the session IN the water and I’m so in love with the images. This is one of my favorite engagement sessions to date and I cannot wait for Hannah and Gabe’s wedding in August!

Read MoreKiersten and AJ are extra special to me because I’ve been shooting them since AJ’s awesome proposal! I later shot their engagement session, and wedding and have absolutely loved getting to know these two and their family along the way. I was thrilled for this sweet couple when I found out that they were expecting and can’t wait to meet baby Teagan very soon!
Kiersten and AJ chose Vilano Beach for their maternity session and I met up with them before sunrise on a chilly but clear morning. I love how these two look in the warm sunrise glow, which also complimented Kiersten’s beautiful mama to be glow so perfectly. Also Kiersten is a total rock star for this! Not many people would meet me on the beach before sunrise and take off their clothes in 40 degree weather but she did amazing and I’d say it was worth it!
Read MoreWords can’t express how in love with these maternity photos that I am. Marissa let me do my thing and I wanted to create a really minimalist, feminine and etherial look. We shot on a nude backdrop with nude wardrobe to keep the images clean and draw all attention to Marissa and her beautiful bump.
I shot these with Kodak Portra 800 and Ilford Delta 3200 (my favorite b&w film ever) with mostly natural light plus a little fill. I absolutely love how the film came out, from the creamy tones of the Portra to the beautiful grain in the black and white Ilford images. You truly cannot beat film.
I want to do a million more portraits like this! I love when clients let me get creative and am thankful for Marissa trusting my vision. She looks absolutely radiant in these images!
Read MoreCaroline and Andrew’s wedding was nothing short of magical. The day began at The Omni Amelia Island where Caroline and her girls got ready and then Caroline and Andrew shared the sweetest first look.
After that it was off to the Ribault Club for bridal party and formal photos. I love when weddings are planned with adequate photo time and a first look because we have time for so many beautiful images and were totally done with everything before the ceremony! Cassie with Flaire Weddings created the perfect timeline and designed such a gorgeous reception look… I very highly recommend her!
The ceremony was held under the Ribault Club’s giant live oak tree where The Wild Thistle had installed a gorgeous floral display that felt like a wooded wonderland. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while Caroline and Andrew took photos with family and a few more sunset shots on the river bank.
Then it was time to eat and everyone dined on the most delicious barbecue from Gilbert’s Underground Kitchen before dancing the night away under the stars to the music from the amazing band, The Significant Others.
This wedding day could not have been more beautiful or filled with love and I loved capturing every detail of it!

I’m a huge nature lover and always try to incorporate that into my outdoor boudoir shoots. These were shot on film on a gorgeous day on a prairie in northern Illinois. The images feel so etherial and timeless and I love how we captured the perfect day and Jessica’s beautiful spirit.
